Sotira’s Waterfall

The Sotira waterfall, just 16 km from the city of Gramsh, is a piece of Albania that deserves to be visited. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Albania, which is located at the foot of Mount Tomorri. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it consists of three sources that penetrate the mountain from different heights (20-100 m), creating wonderful views. The water that falls from it then forms the river with the same name. This unprecedented composition of elements such as water, rocks and plants provide everything you need for your mental and spiritual peace. Also, this area offers opportunities for activities such as camping or picnics in the part of the lawn above the waterfall. To get to the Sotira Waterfall, you will have to travel about 16 km from the town of Gramsh on the road to Tomorri Mountain. It is a road full of obstacles and somewhat difficult, but it is accompanied by landscapes that will remain in your memory for a long time. Then you will continue walking for about an hour from the village of Sotire to the waterfall. The closer you get, the more you will hear the characteristic, sweet sound of the waterfall. Once you arrive, you can continue to hike even further towards the waterfall if you have a bit of an adventurous spirit and the right shoes, of course! This is because the terrain further inland starts to get a little slippery.
